Chelsea Duo Were Like ‘Mr. and Mrs.’—Their Comical Moisturizer Battles Boosted Team Spirit!
To reclaim their top position in football, CHELSEA must prioritize strong teamwork, an adequate supply of shower gel, and ample moisturizing cream.
John Obi Mikel, a legendary midfielder for the Blues, stresses that the bond among players in the dressing room is essential for success on the pitch. He is optimistic about the connections starting to build within the current squad.

Mikel was part of an extraordinary Chelsea team that consistently claimed titles over his 11 years at Stamford Bridge.
He reflects on how even small interactions, like his playful exchanges with Salomon Kalou, highlighted the importance of camaraderie during that period.
Together, they achieved notable victories including the Champions League, Premier League, and four FA Cups, where their team spirit played a key role in crucial matches.
Now at 38, Mikel emphasizes: “Building deep friendships with teammates is crucial for unity.
“The chemistry doesn’t just exist on the field but also off it; understanding each other’s likes and dislikes helps you know how to support teammates in tough times.
“Should you address an issue directly or be more subtle? That kind of relationship is essential. And what can I say about Salomon Kalou?

“At the club, we were often referred to as Mr. and Mrs., or jokingly, Tom and Jerry.
“He could be maddening, yet I have a genuine fondness for him. There’s nothing negative I can say about Salomon Kalou.
Here’s why Liam Delap would be an excellent fit for Chelsea
“He was notorious for never bringing his own shower gel or cream and always used mine from my locker.
“I’d get out of the shower and find my cream missing—Salomon Kalou had taken it.
“Most of the time, it was fine, but he should have returned it to my locker. Typically, he wouldn’t.
“When I’d confront him, he’d tell me to just buy another one. I’d retort, ‘What? Why not get your own?’
“He could be quite annoying. However, that openness on the field was vital for our connection. I hope the current squad can cultivate a similar camaraderie. They’re young, but I notice it starting to take shape.

“I hope to see more of that attitude. Cultivating a positive atmosphere is crucial.”
During Mikel’s tenure, he celebrated wins with stars like John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Didier Drogba as the current Chelsea squad nurtures new talent with promising young players like Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, and rising star Liam Delap.
Mikel recounted, “We experienced incredible times together. After each triumph, we would head out in central London. Celebrating our successes was important to us.
“This bond grew from having something to celebrate almost every year, and the major parties at the end of each season solidified our unity.
“They need to continue winning to promote that togetherness.
The new Chelsea squad has already taken steps by qualifying for the Champions League and securing the Conference League title.
However, post-match celebrations have been subdued compared to previous years, with several players away on international duty ahead of next week’s Club World Cup.
I would finish my shower and go for my cream, only to find it gone. Salomon Kalou had taken it.

The month-long US Club World Cup overlaps with the traditional summer schedule.
Mikel noted: “There are trophies to be won, and our aim is to secure them.
“Financial incentives are also significant—almost £100 million. That can greatly improve your standing in the upcoming summer transfer window. It’s a lot for players to ponder.
“Players often mention needing a break, which is reasonable. However, true rest isn’t feasible during off-season.
“We often return to our home countries.
“Then, after a week, we rejoin local matches for five-a-side or ten-a-side games.
“No one wants to take a genuine break without playing. When pre-season rolls around, it takes time to get back into shape.
“During the summer, you think about staying active; you start running and playing to stay fit. We all did that; I understand.
“The Club World Cup is an excellent chance for teams involved to keep their players fit and engaged, ensuring they are ready to go when the season starts.”
