Arsenal Faces Challenge as Real Madrid Increases Offer for Vinicius Jr to Disrupt Gunners’ Contract Plans

ARSENAL is experiencing a significant setback in their transfer plans, as Real Madrid is reportedly presenting Vinicius Junior with a compelling new contract.

The Gunners are eager to pull off a major transfer for the Brazilian winger, who is currently in the last year of his deal at the Bernabeu.

According to reports from The Athletic, Real Madrid is putting forth a strong effort to retain Vinicius.

They have made a significant offer to highlight his value to the squad.

Nevertheless, it remains uncertain whether this new proposal meets Vinicius’s target of £25 million per year, which includes base salary, bonuses, and a renewal incentive previously discussed.

The 26-year-old met with Real Madrid’s management on Wednesday, including general director Jose Angel Sanchez and chief scout Juni Calafat.

In prior negotiations, financial expectations have often diverged between the parties, especially concerning the renewal bonus.

However, Wednesday’s discussions appear to have made some headway, with Real enhancing their offer.

Vinicius is now faced with a decision: accept the contract extension, head to Arsenal, or let his current contract expire next summer.

Los Blancos are eager to avoid the latter outcome, as that would allow the star player to leave for free in 2027.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s management has given the green light for their negotiators to pursue Vinicius’s transfer.
