Andre Onana Returns to Man Utd: Talks About Future and Possible Loan Move Ahead
ANDRE ONANA has made his return to Manchester United, but it’s clear that his future lies elsewhere.
The goalkeeper’s loan spell with Turkish club Trabzonspor officially ended on Tuesday, and Michael Carrick has stated that Onana is not included in his future plans.
Active steps are being taken to locate clubs interested in Onana, who remains contracted at Old Trafford until 2028.
Onana is expected to join Carrick’s preseason training on July 8 following his loan stint in the Turkish Super Lig.
Reports from Turkey indicate that Trabzonspor is keen on re-signing the Cameroonian goalkeeper on loan.
Besiktas is also exploring the possibility of signing Onana, but his anticipated £120,000-a-week salary could complicate things.

Sources suggest that United are open to acquiring another goalkeeper this summer.
Current No. 2 Altay Bayindir drew interest from Besiktas in January and is anticipated to leave the club.
Prem signing of the season Senne Lammens has been established as the first-choice keeper following his £18.2m transfer from Royal Antwerp in September.
Onana made 102 appearances for United after moving in a £43.8m deal from Inter Milan under former manager Erik ten Hag in 2023.

He was released by the club following two errors in their disappointing League Cup loss to League Two Grimsby Town in August.
Lammens’ arrival led to Onana’s loan transfer to Trabzonspor, where he appeared in 30 matches and contributed to winning the Turkish Super Cup.
Onana’s salary might pose challenges in negotiations.
His wages at United were lowered last season due to the club’s failure to qualify for Europe, facilitating his move to Trabzonspor.
However, his salary will rise by 25 percent starting July 1 after United qualified for Champions League football.
United have renewed the contract of 40-year-old third-choice Tom Heaton for an additional year and have 22-year-old Radek Vitek also under contract until 2028.
Vitek is optimistic about challenging Lammens for the No. 2 position following a successful loan at Bristol City.
