ANTHONY JOSHUA has expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the immense support he has received following the tragic loss of two close friends in a devastating car accident.

The former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua managed to escape the fatal crash with only minor injuries, having narrowly avoided worse by switching seats.
The boxing community has rallied together to support the families of Ayodele and Ghami, as well as AJ, providing substantial encouragement in recent weeks.
Long-time promoter Eddie Hearn indicated that AJ has been profoundly moved by the outpouring of affection directed towards him and his lost friends.
Sharing a picture of himself with AJ at the NAS Sports Complex in Dubai, the Matchroom Boxing chief remarked on Instagram: “Great to connect with @anthonyjoshua today.

“His resilience and strength are truly inspiring.
“The loss is immense, and he will take the time he needs to regain his balance.
“Nonetheless, he has expressed profound gratitude for the support and love extended to Latz and Sina.“
The tragedy on the notorious Lagos-Ibadan highway has raised serious concerns regarding Joshua’s potential return to the boxing ring.
Hearn believes that the Watford fighter will need a “considerable amount of time” off from the sport.
He told Sky Sports: “He will require time physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually before making any decisions about his future.
“I believe he will want to return to boxing, but ultimately the timing will be his choice.”
“That’s not a conversation I plan to have with him anytime soon. The only question right now is, ‘Are you alright?’
“Often, we see people putting on a brave face, but what he has experienced is far from ordinary and is heartbreaking for all involved.”
Joshua has not yet publicly commented on his boxing future or the accident itself.
However, earlier this month, he paid tribute to his departed friends with a moving message on Instagram.
He wrote: “Thank you for the love and support you have shown my brothers.
“I hadn’t even realized how extraordinary they were.
He is truly appreciative of all the support and love shown for Latz and Sina.

“I’ll just be walking with them and joking around, not even realizing that God kept me in the company of remarkable individuals.
“It’s undoubtedly difficult for me, but I know it’s even more challenging for their families.
“I maintain a strong mindset and trust that God sees their hearts.
“May God show mercy to my brothers.”
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode was the driver of the vehicle that AJ and his late friends were in and has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The 47-year-old, who has been released on bail, was also charged with driving without due care and without a valid driver’s license.
Proceedings will continue on Tuesday.
