Gary Neville Slams Liverpool Trio for Being ‘Totally Ineffective’ in Chelsea Clash
Manchester United icon Gary Neville criticized Liverpool players Mohamed Salah, Florian Wirtz, and Cody Gakpo following their defeat to Chelsea.
The Reds faced a disappointing 2-1 loss against the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with Estevao Willian scoring a last-minute winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The Merseysiders appeared poised for a late comeback after Gakpo, 26, leveled the score following Moises Caicedo’s opener.
However, Arne Slot’s team faced their third consecutive defeat in all competitions.
Neville, 50, did not hesitate to voice his straightforward assessment of Liverpool’s “totally ineffective” display.
The Sky Sports pundit emphasized that the downfall of the reigning Premier League champions was connected to the lackluster performances of Gakpo, Salah, 33, and Wirtz, 22.
Neville remarked: “Games are decided by teams that show a desire to win.
“I’m not suggesting Liverpool lacked that; they clearly did, but I found their performance underwhelming after they scored.
“While there has been significant focus on Liverpool’s defensive problems, which is justified, that wasn’t the reason for today’s loss.
“They struggled in the final 15-20 minutes due to their creative players—those in the attacking third—being alarmingly ineffective.

“They were carelessly giving away the ball. Gakpo here, Salah there; the wastefulness was apparent.
“Wirtz failed to understand how to influence the game during those critical moments, remaining focused on marking Caicedo; I was observing him closely.”
