England Issues Warning: Players Face Bans for Joining Mike Tindall’s Breakaway League
ENGLAND has allied with several prominent rugby nations in opposition to the emerging league R360, announcing that any player who joins will be excluded from Test selection.
A statement from all Six Nations unions, except for Wales, along with South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, criticized the rebel league and urged caution for any player considering signing up.

R360, spearheaded by 2003 World Cup champion Mike Tindall, is further criticized for being designed to benefit “a tiny elite” rather than advancing the sport as a whole.
This news follows the International Rugby Players Association’s advice to its members to seek legal counsel before signing any agreements.
The latest developments represent a significant blow to the league, which had intended to debut in October next year.
Should the breakaway effort proceed — now seeming less likely — it will do so without elite players from the sport.
The statement reiterated: “As national rugby unions, we urgently advise players and personnel to proceed with extreme caution regarding involvement with the proposed R360 competition.
“We advocate for investment and innovation in rugby and support initiatives that foster the game’s growth and reach new fans, but any new competition must positively impact the sport, rather than fracture or diminish it.
The R360 framework, as publicly presented, appears focused on generating profits for a select group, jeopardizing the investments national unions and current leagues commit to community rugby, player development, and pathways for participation.
International rugby and our key competitions form the financial and cultural foundation that supports all levels of the game — from grassroots to elite performance. Disrupting this ecosystem could have dire consequences for the health of our sport.

“Consequently, each national union will inform men’s and women’s players that joining R360 will make them ineligible for international selection.”
The Welsh Rugby Union, which is currently revamping its domestic league, supports this statement and reserves the right to exclude players from international duty if they engage with R360.

Plans for the rebel league include 12 franchises — eight men’s and four women’s — competing in a global grand prix-style series with matches slated for cities like London, Miami, Tokyo, and Lisbon.
Approximately 200 players are rumored to have signed pre-contracts valued at up to £750,000, although none have publicly affirmed their involvement thus far.
Information about the investors behind the venture is currently unavailable.
Despite the unions’ firm position, R360 remains hopeful about launching next year and aims to seek sanctioning from World Rugby the following summer.
They released a statement declaring: “Numerous players are enthusiastic about the opportunities R360 presents for them and the sport, and we are keen to kick off next year.
“We plan to coordinate effectively within the global rugby calendar. The series is designed with customized schedules for men’s and women’s teams, and R360 will ensure that all players are available for international matches as detailed in their contracts.”
Inside the lives of the most relatable royal couple Zara and Mike Tindall
YOU might expect royalty to indulge in lavish dining, adorned in high fashion and sparkling jewels.
However, for one royal couple, life is surprisingly more ‘normal’ than one might think — envision curry and beer nights along with muddy walks with their dogs.
From Ann Summers parties to tongue piercings and amusing antics in the royal box, let’s explore how the Tindall family has become Britain’s most down-to-earth royals.
Mike and Zara’s paths crossed in Australia back in 2003 during the Rugby World Cup, where they were introduced at a Sydney bar by Zara’s cousin, Prince Harry.
Their romance blossomed upon returning to the UK, marked not by extravagant gestures but by a natural evolution.
Mike shared with the Daily Mail: “We were introduced but didn’t talk much at first.
“Later, [rugby player] Austin Healey handed me her number, urging me to text her about where we were heading after the final so she could join.”
Unlike Kate Middleton and Prince William, Mike and Zara have never shied away from public displays of affection, openly expressing their love for one another.
For their dates, it’s reported that they cherish nothing more than a cozy night in front of the TV.
According to sources, Mike proposed at home while Zara was watching their favorite show.
This sense of ordinariness was reportedly admired by the Queen, who valued this quality in her eldest granddaughter and her family.
One royal insider stated: “Zara and Mike unwind in their pet-filled home with a box set, a delicious curry, and a few lagers.”
When they do seek a night out, it’s said that Princess Anne often babysits, allowing the couple to enjoy a meal at their local pub in Gloucester.
