Woman Involved in Christian Horner Sexting Scandal Makes Comeback to Formula 1

The woman at the center of the Christian Horner sexting controversy has made her way back to the Formula 1 scene.

She has aligned herself with a competing team after the termination of Red Bull’s executive—who is married to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell—from his position as team principal in July.

Now aged 51, Horner has been cleared on two occasions regarding allegations of sexual harassment and coercive behavior.

An internal investigation at Red Bull last February found the claims made by the woman to be unsubstantiated.

Furthermore, an independent legal authority dismissed her appeal in August.

She was suspended by Red Bull in March 2024 after the initial allegations emerged.

The unnamed woman had previously claimed that Horner requested explicit photos from her.

This controversy placed significant strain on Horner’s marriage and caused notable friction within the Red Bull team.

Despite surviving the immediate fallout of the scandal, Horner was ultimately removed from his position as Red Bull Racing’s team leader after a remarkable two decades.

Holding the record for the longest-serving F1 team principal, he led the Austrian team since its establishment in 2005.

Even though he initially kept his role following the texting incident, Red Bull has faced a downturn in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships.

Horner has guided Red Bull through two distinct championship-winning eras: the first with Sebastian Vettel from 2009 to 2014, and currently with Max Verstappen—a chapter that may be drawing to a close sooner than expected.
