Ryk is a seasoned financial journalist boasting over 25 years of experience. He serves as the editor of Moneyweb and hosts RSG Geldsake, the leading business radio show in South Africa.
Before joining Moneyweb in 2011, Ryk was the national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
Renowned as a public speaker and facilitator, he often shares his perspectives on political and economic matters through various local and international media outlets. His expertise lies in financial investigative journalism, and he has garnered numerous awards throughout his career.
Ryk earned an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both with cum laude honors.
