Former Premier League Star, 35, Announces Retirement and Immediately Takes on Exciting New Role
A FORMER Premier League star has officially concluded his 18-year football journey.
However, the ex-striker quickly returned to the sport by re-signing with one of his former clubs.

Jordan Rhodes has formally declared his retirement from playing earlier today.
The 35-year-old revealed his choice to step back from the game following his tenure at Blackpool.
As reported by the BBC, the former Scotland international was swiftly appointed by Blackburn Rovers for a distinct new position.
The ex-centre-forward is now Rovers’ loans manager.
Rhodes is well-acquainted with loans, having spent part of last season at Mansfield.
The England-born Scotland international commenced his professional career in 2007 with Ipswich Town after two years in their youth program.
During his early time at Portman Road, he had loan spells at Oxford United, Rochdale, and Brentford.
Rhodes subsequently moved to Huddersfield and Blackburn before transferring to Middlesbrough in 2016, where he made six Premier League appearances.

The Oldham-born athlete spent one year at Boro, the second half of which was spent on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, who later acquired him permanently in 2017.
Rhodes had a four-year tenure at Hillsborough, which included a loan to Norwich.

The former No9 made his return to Huddersfield in 2021 and two years later was loaned to Blackpool, who permanently signed him in 2024.
