Trump to Keep White House Starlink as Musk Tensions Ease

President Donald Trump reiterated his commitment to resolving his public feud with Elon Musk, informing reporters of his plan to retain the Starlink internet service at the White House while conveying his best wishes to his billionaire supporter.

However, the US president suggested that he may move the Tesla vehicle he obtained from White House grounds, asserting that it was up to Musk to reach out after a turbulent week marked by exchanges of criticism and threats regarding the president’s crucial tax policies.

“If I were him, I would want to talk to me,” Trump commented. “But perhaps he has already made contact; you’ll need to ask him that. I wouldn’t object — well, I don’t want to say that, but I assume he’d be keen to have a conversation.”

Trump noted that he had not observed any physical confrontation involving Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, expressing his hope that Musk was not involved in recreational drug use while working for the government, following a New York Times report claiming the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency had been using ketamine.

“I really don’t know — I doubt it,” Trump remarked. “I hope not.”

The president’s fairly restrained comments arrived after Musk removed several social media posts over the weekend, which included claims linking Trump to unpublished documents concerning the disgraced New York financier Jeffrey Epstein. During the spat, Tesla’s stock experienced a significant decline, with Trump threatening to cancel government contracts with Musk’s companies.

“Look, I wish him well,” Trump stated on Monday. “You know, we had a good relationship.”
