Dlamini praises Pirates for making it to Nedbank Cup Final
Orlando Pirates midfielder Kabelo Dlamini shared his enthusiasm following their progression to the finals after a close 1-0 victory against Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
Dlamini scored the crucial goal in the match and earned the title of man of the match, securing their second win out of three meetings with the Gallants this season, which notably includes a remarkable 8-1 victory in the Betway Premiership.
The defending champions are poised to face their Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, who earned their spot in the finals with a 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns, at Moses Mabhida Stadium on May 10.
The 28-year-old highlighted the importance of putting in the effort to achieve their goals and expressed his joy at reaching the final for the third time in a row under Jose Riverio, who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
“I want to express my gratitude to the man above for this chance. Yes, we knew that Marumo Gallants would pose a significant challenge, but we recognized the need to unite and work hard because of what is at stake and our ambitions,” Dlamini stated.

“I’m excited that we have made it to the finals once again.”
Meanwhile, the Soweto Giants are preparing for their CAF Champions League semi-final match against Pyramids FC at FNB Stadium on Saturday (18:00).
