Arsenal Fans Slam Leandro Trossard for Missed Opportunity Against Leicester: ‘Looks Like He’s Never Played Before’

Fans of ARSENAL were quick to voice their disappointment regarding the makeshift forward line after Leandro Trossard missed a critical opportunity against Leicester.

Trossard, who was accompanied by Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling, found himself in the spotlight as Arsenal aimed to create chances amid an injury crisis plaguing the squad.

However, the criticism escalated when Trossard was gifted a prime chance from a brilliant lofted ball by Martin Odegaard, which he failed to capitalize on, firing a weak shot straight at Leicester’s goalkeeper, Mads Hermansen.

This blunder sparked frustration among Arsenal fans on social media, as the Gunners aim for perfection in their title pursuit.

One fan commented: “Odegaard serves a ball over, and Trossard looks as if he’s never played football before.”

Another added: “Watching that Trossard miss again is genuinely shocking.”

A third supporter expressed: “Trossard and Sterling aren’t fit for Arsenal. They appear to be panicking!”

A fourth provocatively stated: “If Sterling or Trossard aren’t substituted in the second half, I’d prefer not to watch the game.”

During the first half, Trossard was assigned the central forward position, while Sterling operated on the left wing and 17-year-old Nwaneri was placed on the right.

Arsenal has encountered a series of injury challenges this season, and the situation worsened earlier this week.

After opting not to enhance their attacking depth during the January transfer window, Mikel Arteta has lost starting striker Kai Havertz for the rest of the season due to a torn hamstring he sustained during a warm-up training session in Dubai earlier this week.

Havertz will now join Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli on the injury list, further restricting Arsenal’s offensive lineup.

Fortunately for Arteta, some positive news on the injury front emerged over the weekend.

Right-back Ben White returned to the squad for the first time since November following knee surgery.
