However, Salah, whose contract concludes in the summer and who can commence talks with foreign clubs in just two days, indicated that a new agreement with the Reds is still “far away.”

He commented: “No, we are quite distant from that, and I would prefer not to elaborate further to avoid speculation.”

“Right now, my focus is on the team.”

“What matters most to me is for Liverpool to win the league title; I just want to contribute to that.”

“My main aim has been winning a trophy since the start of the season.”

“I will give my all for the team to succeed; we are on the right track. Some other teams are closing in on us, so we must stay focused and modest and keep pushing ahead.”

Luis Diaz opened the scoring, followed by Salah assisting Cody Gakpo with an impressive spin and then netting his own goal before halftime.

Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s deflected shot made it four before Salah set up Diogo Jota’s goal in the 84th minute.

Salah has maintained a streak of scoring at least 20 goals in every season with Liverpool and has both scored and assisted in eight different league matches this season, setting a new Premier League record.

Slot stated: “Mo and the term extraordinary have been frequently associated over the past six months. He certainly deserves this recognition for the past eight years, though I can only comment on the last six months.”

Mo Salah offers a significant update on his Liverpool contract situation while breaking the Premier League record in the victory over Tottenham

“I don’t think he continues to astonish us; we are fully aware of his talent and abilities.”

“Moreover, he consistently works hard for the team, even when the opposition holds possession, and we can only hope he keeps delivering these outstanding performances.”

“That being said, I want to stress that whenever he scores, there is always a sequence leading up to that moment.”

“Other players contribute to creating chances for him, and when you present Mo with those opportunities, he is truly exceptional.”

While Liverpool demonstrated their prowess, West Ham struggled to create any significant threat and exited to boos at the London Stadium.

Manager Julen Lopetegui expressed: “We feel immense regret for our fans. I truly lament this result. They undoubtedly merit much more, and it has been a difficult day for us.”

“The fans are always justified in their feelings, and we completely understand them.”

“We are working to become more competitive; at times we succeed, but we must improve in such home fixtures as we move through the second half of the season.”
