Ford’s field service actions to replace rearview cameras, update software to cost $270 million

disclosed Friday that field service actions the automaker is taking to replace the rearview camera and update software on a number of models will cost about $270 million. The actions will be taken for certain model year 2020 to 2023 Explore and Aviator vehicles, 2020 to 2022 Corsair vehicles, 2022 to 2023 Transit vans, 2018 to 2021 Navigator vehicles and 2021 Broncos. The stock gained 0.3% in premarket trading. It has gained 4.3% year to date through Thursday, while shares of rival General Motors Co.
