Bester’s accomplices charged with murder
The father of Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s father has been charged with murder at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.

Dr Nandipha’s father charged with murder
Cornelius Sekeleni and the former G4S employee Senohe Matsoara were both charged with the murder of an unknown man.
The sate presented a case that the two accused men unlawfully killed an unknown man on the night of Thabo Bester’s prison escape.
In addition, the two are facing charges of defeating the ends of justice, fraud and arson.
Senohe Matsoara was a security supervisor believed to have been in cahoots with Bester and assisted him in his elaborate escape on 3 May 2022.
It is believed that Matsoara was not scheduled to be on duty the night of Bester’s escape, yet he reported for the shift.

The case against Nandipha Magudumana’s father and a former G4S employee has been postponed to next Monday.
ANC welcomes Bester’s arrest
The African National Congress (ANC) has welcomed the arrest of escaped convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester and his partner Dr Nandipha Magudumana.

They were tracked and nabbed in Arusha, Tanzania alongside a Mozambican national suspected of aiding their flight from justice.
It was reported last week that South African crime intelligence officers had tracked the fugitives to Tanzania.

Working with the Tanzanian police, the South African law enforcement agents reportedly monitored the fugitives before arresting them on Friday.
National police commissioner, General Fannie Masemola has indicated that more arrests are expected.
The ANC commended the joint efforts by the SAPS and Tanzanian law enforcement enforcement authorities.
