Call to assist kids of Parkrand Primary coach
The Parkrand Primary School community is not only mourning the loss of its beloved athletics coach and his wife but is also rallying support for their children.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PARKRAND PRIMARY COACH AND WIFE
The pair sadly perished during the catastrophic explosion by a gas tanker the day before Christmas (24 December).
It is understood that the couple went to investigate the chaotic scene when the gas tanker exploded, claiming the lives of innocent onlookers.

BOKSBURG EXPOSION AFTERMATH SUPPORT CAMPAIGNS
The appeal letter from different organisations and people close to the incident reads:
Parkrand Primary lost one of its own in the devastating gas tanker explosion on the 24th of December. Coach Ndumi Mashaba and his wife (Neo) tragically passed away leaving behind a little boy of 3 years and a baby girl of 6 months.
The SMT and SGB of the school have visited the family of Coach Ndumi and they have provided support with funds towards Essentials but if anyone could assist or has contacts in the glass and Building department they could seriously use some help. Most of the windows were blown out and ceilings were also damaged.
The family is in need of the following items, if you are able to donate please do:
- Blankets
- Formula – Lactogen #2
- Children clothes:
- Boy size 3 – 4yrs
- Girl size 6 – 12 months
- Nappies sizes 3 and 4
- Food (maize, meat, cakes, etc)
The daily drop-off point will be Parkrand Primary School daily from 10h00 to 11h30 and the team will take it through to the family.
