MUT student killer FINALLY behind bars
The alleged MUT female student murderer, Bongani Sanele Mlambo (28), is finally behind bars and awaits sentencing.
HIDING MUT FEMALE STUDENT MURDERER ARRESTED
Mlambo, who vanished in thin air for over a month, is accused of stabbing to death 23-year-old Xolile Mbatha, a Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) student, on Sunday, 31 July.

WHERE XOLILE MBATHA TOOK HER LAST BREATH
Xolile, a final-year Electrical Engineering student at the time of her untimely demise, died at the student residence at South Beach in Durban.
On the fateful day at 07:30, Point police were called to a student residence at Mahatma Gandhi Road where Xolile was stabbed.
When The South African followed up with the investigating officer a month ago, the wanted student was still at large.

ACCUSED PLEADS GUILTY TO THE MURDER
It has come to light that Mlambo was arrested and opted to plead guilty.
According to East Coast Radio (ECR), the man charged for the murder of Mangosuthu University of Technology student Xolile Mbatha pleaded guilty at the Durban High Court on Wednesday, 12 October.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) told ECR that the case has been postponed to next week for the post-mortem results and sentencing proceedings.

The station also reported that MUT’s Azwi Mufamadi says since the incident they have heightened security at the residences, including installing panic buttons.
“We have external residences which are not owned by MUT, but they are owned by service providers who we pay to use the residences.
“So what we have done is that we have changed the standard operating procedure that we have with these residence owners to include not only just raising the number of security personnel in each and every residence.”ECR
Xolile was laid to rest in her home town of Umsinga, north of the province in August this year.
