Moderna vaccinates first people in study to test vaccine-booster candidates

said late Wednesday that it vaccinated the first 60 people participating in a study meant to evaluate COVID-19 vaccine-booster candidates. That was out of “an abundance of caution” as previously published data has shown that its vaccine being currently administrated around the world has worked against all variants tested, including the U.K. and the South Africa strains, the company said. Shares of Moderna fell less than 0.1% in the extended session Wednesday after ending the regular trading day down 0.9%.
