Pittsburgh International Airport to provide COVID-19 testing starting at $95, and won’t accept insurance
Pittsburgh International Airport announced Tuesday that starting Monday, it will offer COVID-19 testing “for public health and peace of mind,” for a price. In partnership with TACKL Health, the airport said it will offer rapid antigen tests for $95, with results available in 15 minutes, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for $129, with results available in 24 to 48 hours. The airport said it will not accept insurance for the tests. “This is yet another initiative under the airport’s Safe Travels program to improve safety protocols and offer passengers options to feel more confident when they travel,” the airport said in a statement. “Following [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidelines, Safe Travels includes a mandatory face coverings requirement, social distancing and enhanced cleaning protocols in our facilities.”
