Biden reportedly picks Rep. Haaland for interior secretary

President-elect Joe Biden has tapped Rep. Deb Haaland, a congresswoman from New Mexico, to serve as interior secretary, according to reports on Thursday. Haaland, a Democrat, would be the first Native American secretary of the department, which oversees U.S. natural resources and tribal lands. The position requires Senate confirmation.
